SPREADSTOKE

Spread Stoke isn’t just a platform—it’s where the outdoor community comes to fuel their passion, swap epic stories, and stoke the fire for adventure.

As Co-Founder and self-proclaimed “Chief of Stoke,” I helped build a space where skiers, boarders, climbers, and thrill-seekers alike could drop their best travel tales, epic video edits, and jaw-dropping photos. 100% user-generated, 100% inspiring. Think of it as the ultimate chairlift conversation, but with a global reach.

As Co-Founder and Chief of Stoke & Operations, I wore all the hats: crafting the business strategy, managing finances, driving the brand’s creative direction, and building our online platform from the ground up. From branding and UX design to social media strategy and managing the stoked-out content, I made sure the vibe stayed true to our mission: spreading stoke far and wide.

All bootstrapped, all powered by passion. Let’s just say, we didn’t just spread stoke; we lived it.

BRANDING

SpreadStoke needed to feel like the outdoors. Raw, high energy, a little gritty, and never overproduced.

I designed the logo, color palette, and typography to match that vibe. Bold, high-contrast, and built to let user content shine, not compete with it. The goal was always to keep it feeling real to the action sports world, more chairlift convo, less corporate brand deck.

Branding also played a big role in our merch. Hats, stickers, tees, and hoodies needed to be something people actually wanted to wear, not just slap a logo on. So everything was designed to live beyond the screen and feel just as at home on the mountain as it did online.

The end result felt lived-in, community-driven, and instantly recognizable. Something people wanted to be part of, not just scroll past.

WEBSITE DESIGN

Tasked to migrate the Powderbird website (built on a proprietary platform) so our staff could manage content and editing, I directly project managed the site migration with a local agency. I then lead the redesign to reflect a modern look and feel. My focus included improving the sales funnel, online bookings, highlighting important client information and created an easily accessible FAQ that covered frequent client questions. I also created a blog to highlight weather reports, current conditions, and shine a spotlight on our partners and sponsors.

MARKETING:
PRINT+SOCIALS

During my two years at Powderbird, we placed ads in a variety of popular ski/snowboard magazines, in SkiUtah media placements, and more local publications. Marketing and collateral included Hydroflask (a sponsor of Powderbird) bottle inserts, sales rack cards, and sales decks courting new partnerships and sponsors.

Video & Photography

This piece tells the story behind SpreadStoke and why we built it. A community-first platform created by athletes, creatives, and friends who just wanted a place to share what they live for.

We concepted and directed this video to capture that energy. Equal parts passion, storytelling, and raw stoke. It highlights the spirit of the platform, 100% user-driven content, real people, real adventures, and the idea that inspiration is meant to be shared.

This wasn’t just a brand video. It was a rally call for the community we were building. Filmed and edited by Andrew Braden with various athlete + sponsor submitted footage.
